Hamish has been involved in the successful delivery of a number of technical government new build and refurbishment projects, with a strong background in working in operationally controlled high security project environments. Prior to joining Xenia, Hamish worked for Tier 1 contractor Lend Lease for 20+ years as foreman, project engineer, site manager and construction manager. Hamish is a lateral thinker with a can-do attitude. His superior communication skills enable him to build strong relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time and within budget.
Hamish’s extensive construction experience in managing refurbishment and new works within live operating environments was nowhere better demonstrated than on the $30 million BER Schools Canberra project where he managed 15 various projects which required high levels of stakeholder consultation across several sites.
Hamish has the ability to develop and provide input into staging and decanting methodologies and plans, site establishment plans and construction plans that will minimise operational impact for project stakeholders and take into consideration staging and construction detailing issues.
